Liberia's Agriculture Minister Donates Equipment to Tubman University`s College of Agriculture

Harper, Liberia - In a major step towards advancing agricultural education, Liberia`s Minister of Agriculture, Dr. J. Alexander Nuetah, visited Tubman University on August 20, 2024, to officially hand over a tractor and power tiller to the College of Agriculture and Food Science. These essential tools will be utilized at the college`s agricultural demonstration site, significantly enhancing practical learning and research opportunities.
During the handover, Dr. Nuetah emphasized the government`s commitment to supporting agricultural education and urged the college to fully utilize the new equipment. `This donation reflects our government`s dedication to equipping future agricultural leaders with the tools they need to succeed. I encourage the College of Agriculture and Food Science to make full use of this equipment, and rest assured, the government is prepared to offer continued support, `` Dr. Nuetah stated.
Dr. Maria Fe Gueta, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs at Tubman University, expressed her sincere appreciation for the donation. ``We are profoundly grateful to Minister Nuetah and the Ministry of Agriculture's SAPEC Program for this generous support. This contribution will greatly enhance our students' practical experiences, helping them connect classroom theory with real-world application,`` Dr. Gueta said.
