Harper, Maryland County -- August 20, 2026: The Board of Trustees of William V. S. Tubman University (TU) has approved three master's degree programs and a Short Learning Program Policy, marking a significant milestone in the University's academic growth. The decision was reached during a called meeting of the Board on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, following deliberations on the establishment and commencement of the School of Graduate Studies, Research, Innovation & Discovery.

The approved master's programs include Educational Leadership, Construction Management, and Business Administration, positioning TU to expand access to advanced education and professional training in southeastern Liberia. The development is particularly significant as TU becomes the first university outside Monrovia to establish a School of Graduate Studies, creating opportunities for students and professionals to pursue advanced studies closer to home.

Board Chairperson Hon. Floyd Thomas expressed satisfaction with the progress being made under the leadership of TU President and CEO, Dr. Olu Q. Menjay, and commended the President and his team for their efforts. He reaffirmed the Board's commitment to ensuring that Tubman University advances toward becoming a university that is "second to none."

Dr. Menjay expressed profound appreciation to the Board of Trustees, particularly the Subcommittee on Academic and Student Affairs, for its careful review, guidance, and support. He said the establishment of the School of Graduate Studies represents a major step in TU's strategic vision to advance education, research, innovation, and professional development while contributing to the intellectual and economic transformation of southeastern Liberia and the nation.
