TU Bids Farewell to Dr. Malik. Kone

WVSTU: William V. S. Tubman University (TU) on Friday night, June 26, 2026, honored its Associate Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Discovery, Dr. Malik Kone, with a farewell dinner hosted at the residence of Dr. Maria Rebecca Fe-Gueta, Vice President for Academic Affair. The event was attended by members of the University's senior leadership, faculty, and staff.

Speaking at the event, Tubman University President Dr. Olu Q. Menjay thanked Dr. Kone for his dedicated service and invaluable contributions to research, innovation, and international collaboration."Dr. Kone's commitment to academic excellence and innovation has significantly strengthened Tubman University. We thank him for his outstanding service and wish him every success in his future endeavors," Dr. Menjay said.

The Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Fe-Guata, praised Dr. Kone for his professionalism, collaborative spirit, and unwavering commitment to academic excellence.
In his response, Dr. Kone expressed heartfelt appreciation to the University community for the support he received during his tenure. "Working at TU has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional career. I am grateful to the President, the VPAA, faculty, staff and students for their trust, friendship, and collaboration. I leave with cherished memories," Dr. Kone Said.

As a token of appreciation, Dr. Kone was presented with gifts by the University in recognition of his service. The evening concluded with warm fellowship and best wishes from colleagues.
