WVSTU: The Entrepreneurship Incubation and Innovation Center (EIIC) of William V. S. Tubman University has commenced the rollout of student training programs under its partnership with the Sustainable Access Foundation (SAF).

The initial workshop, held on May 5, brought together about 30 students from various colleges, including members of the Entrepreneurship Cell. The session introduced SAF's club model and encouraged active student engagement on the goals, impact, and expectations of the initiative.

Speaking on the significance of the program, EIIC Director Ben K. Collins described the collaboration as "a major step toward strengthening our innovation ecosystem. It creates a platform for students to move beyond theory and begin to develop real solutions, build ventures, and grow as entrepreneurs and leaders."

Highlighting the broader importance of the partnership, Dr. Olu Q. Menjay, President/CEO of Tubman University, stated, "This collaboration aligns with our vision of promoting academic excellence and entrepreneurship. It provides our students with practical exposure, global perspectives, and the tools needed to become innovative leaders who can drive sustainable development in their communities."

The partnership, signed last year by Dr. Menjay and Ms. Danika Tynes, Executive Director of SAF, aims to equip students with practical leadership and entrepreneurial skills through mentorship, training, and community engagement.

The Sustainable Access Foundation (SAF), a U.S.-based nonprofit headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, focuses on empowering young people in developing countries through leadership and entrepreneurship development.

The initiative will be implemented in phases, beginning with club formation and leadership development, and later expanding into innovation and enterprise opportunities for students.
