President Boakai Appoints New Board of Trustees for Tubman University

WVSTU -- President of Liberia , H.E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr. has announced a new lineup of members to the Board of Trustees of William V. S. Tubman University, a move aimed at strengthening governance and enhancing the role of the institution in national development.
The reconstituted Board brings together a cross-section of stakeholders, including government officials, lawmakers, academics, alumni, and private sector representatives.

Serving in an ex-officio capacity is the Minister of Education, Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah, while the Legislature is represented by Hon.Francis S. Dopoh II and Hon. P. Mike Jurry.

At the institutional level, Dr. Olu Q. Menjay has been appointed Secretary to the Board, further consolidating his leadership role within the university. The public sector is represented by Dr. Siedoh Freeman, while Mr. Morris Konneh serves as Alumni Representative.

Academic voices on the Board include Mr. Floyd Thomas, Dr. James Elliot, Ms. Moriah Grace Wisseh, Mrs. Wade Thompson Merchant, Mrs. Precious Andrew Greeves, and Mr. Ernest Kromah Gaie.

In a notable step toward strengthening university-industry collaboration, major private sector institutions including Cavalla Rubber Corporation, ArcelorMittal, LibEnergy, and Golden Veroleum Liberia will also have representation on the Board.

President Boakai called on all appointed members to serve with professionalism, integrity, and dedication in advancing the mission of the university and contributing to Liberia's human capital development.
