William V S Tubman University on Friday, January 30, 2026, hosted its New Students Orientation for Semester II of the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The program was organized by the Department of Student Clubs and Activities under the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Services
TU new student orientation is a longstanding tradition normally organized at the beginning of each academic semester. It provides students with an opportunity to interact with the university administration.
The event officially welcomed newly admitted students and introduced them to the University's academic structure, administrative offices, and the wide range of academic and professional pathways available across its six colleges. The session also highlighted the critical role of various departments in supporting student success and personal development.
Delivering a special statement on behalf of the President and Chief Executive Officer of Tubman University, Dr. Olu Q. Menjay, the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Services, Mr. David Hne Erskine, warmly welcomed the students to the TU community.
He encouraged them to uphold the University's code of conduct and to demonstrate discipline, integrity, and commitment throughout their academic journey.
Mr. Erskine further reaffirmed the University's dedication to maintaining high academic standards, providing student-centered services, and promoting holistic development.
During the orientation held at the Academic Gallery, department directors, supervisors, and deans representing the University's six colleges presented overviews of their academic programs and institutional roles.
These presentations provided students with valuable insights into academic expectations, available support services, and potential career opportunities within their chosen fields of study.
Meanwhile, some newly admitted students who attended the program expressed their gratitude to the university administration for organizing such an insightful and educational program. They noted that the orientation provided them with the opportunity to learn more about the institution's various programs and policies. The students also expressed their commitment to upholding and abiding by the university's policies at all times.
