Tubman University Awards Scholarships to Outstanding Students

Harper-Maryland: William V.S. Tubman University (TU) has announced the recipients of the President's Merit-Based Scholarship, President's Need-Based Scholarship, and the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship for the First Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year.
The beneficiaries were selected following a rigorous vetting process carried out by the University's Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee in collaboration with academic professionals across TU. Each student met the required Grade Point Average (GPA) and demonstrated strong academic potential.

President and CEO of Tubman University, Dr. Olu Q. Menjay, congratulated the recipients and urged them to remain committed to their studies. He noted that the scholarships not only celebrate academic excellence but also aim to ease the financial burden on parents and guardians. Dr. Menjay further encouraged other students to view the achievement of their colleagues as a challenge and motivation to strive for distinction and good conduct.

Senneh Baker - Arts & Sciences - GPA: 3.81
Jacqueline N. Tarpeay - Health Sciences - GPA: 3.70
Recipients of the President's Need-Based Scholarship include:
Grace Kuoh - Business Administration - GPA: 3.50
Patience Weaka - Health Sciences - GPA: 3.21
Malinda N. Wilson - Business Administration - GPA: 3.00
Recipients of the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship include:
T. Wilson Chea - Arts & Sciences - GPA: 3.60
Abdul Aziz Jalloh - Arts & Sciences - GPA: 3.31
Clark N. Smith - Business Administration - GPA: 3.20
Sametta N. Wilson - Education - GPA: 3.20
