WVSTU - Tubman University (TU) successfully hosted another impactful session of its Engineering Liberia's Future: 21st Century Skills Webinar Series, bringing together students, faculty, and industry experts for an engaging exploration of Blockchain Technology and 3D Printing two rapidly evolving tools shaping modern engineering practice.
The session featured distinguished presenters Dr. Opeoluwa Akinradewo and Dr. Cynthia Abima, who delivered practical demonstrations and in-depth analyses on how these emerging technologies can be leveraged to solve engineering challenges, enhance innovation, and support national development.
In his remarks, Dr. Olu Q. Menjay, President/CEO of Tubman University and Chief Host, commended the initiative and reaffirmed TU's commitment to preparing engineers equipped for global competitiveness.
"At Tubman University, we expose our students to the technologies that shape the future," Dr. Menjay stated. "We want our engineers to innovate, solve problems, and place Liberia on the global technological map."
The webinar also highlighted the visionary leadership of Prof. Babatunde F. Ogunbayo (PhD), Officer in Charge of the College of Engineering, and the dedication of Prof. Samuel A. Adekunle (PhD), the convener of the series. Their continued efforts underscore the college's strategic focus on excellence, innovation, and the integration of modern technological tools into engineering education.
Participants described the session as both timely and transformative, noting its relevance to Liberia's growing need for technology-driven solutions.
The College of Engineering announced that it will continue to host additional sessions under the 21st Century Skills Webinar Series, further strengthening TU's role as a leader in engineering education and innovation in Liberia.
