Harper City, Liberia - William V. S. Tubman University (TU) is pleased to announce an expansion of its international academic collaboration with Morningside University (MU) in Sioux City, Iowa, USA. Through this strengthened partnership, two additional scholarships have been awarded for TU students to study at Morningside University beginning in August 2025.
During a recent visit to MU, TU President/CEO Dr. Olu Q. Menjay received official confirmation of the scholarships from MU President/CEO Dr. Albert Mosley. This development builds on the success of previous TU students at Morningside, including Oliver B. Newton and Tetee Shine King, who enrolled in 2024. Newton notably earned academic distinction by making the Dean's List last semester.
Dr. Mosley reaffirmed MU's commitment to global education, stating, "This initiative not only provides TU students with a transformative learning experience but also enriches our campus community through cultural exchange and diverse perspectives."
Dr. Menjay emphasized the significance of such opportunities, adding, "International exposure is essential for our students' academic and professional growth. We deeply appreciate Morningside University's generosity and dedication to our students' success."
The collaboration between TU and MU is rooted in the shared vision of Drs. Menjay and Mosley, who first connected as graduate students at Duke University in 1995. Their long-standing commitment to global engagement in higher education continues to create meaningful academic opportunities for students at both institutions.
Tubman University extends its sincere gratitude to Morningside University for its continued support and looks forward to further strengthening this impactful partnership in the years ahead.
