William V.S. Tubman University (TU) is proud to announce that Ms. Olivia Newton, a distinguished student from the university, has arrived in the United States to continue her studies at Morningside University in Sioux City, Iowa. Ms. Newton is the first recipient of the newly established TU Study Abroad Program at Morningside University.
Reflecting on this milestone, Dr. Olu Q. Menjay, President and CEO of Tubman University, stated, ``This partnership with Morningside University marks a significant step forward in our mission to provide transformative educational opportunities for our students. Ms. Newton`s achievement exemplifies the potential within our student body and the doors that our strategic collaborations can open.``
The inception of the `TU Study Abroad Program` can be traced back to Dr. Albert D. Mosley, President of Morningside University, who first proposed the idea when he served as the commencement speaker at TU`s 2023 graduation ceremony. Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Menjay added, ``We are immensely grateful to Dr. Mosley for his visionary leadership and for extending this remarkable opportunity to our students. This program is a testament to the strong relationship between our institutions.``
The `TU Study Abroad Program` is meticulously designed to align with the university`s strategic priorities, including Academic Excellence, Student Success, Entrepreneurial Enterprise, and Brand Prestige. ``Our goal at TU is not just to educate but to empower our students to compete and thrive on a global scale,`` Dr. Menjay emphasized. ``The establishment of this program is a clear indication of our commitment to these priorities, and we are excited to see the impact it will have on our students and their futures.``
