In my first 100 days as President/CEO of Tubman University, I have embarked on a journey of transformation centered around enhancing education collaborations, envisioning applicable academic agendas, enhancing strength and stability, and enriching research, innovation, and discovery. Through intentional listening and learning encounters, I have personally engaged with every administrative and academic department, laying the foundation for a collaborative and innovative future.
ENHANCING EDUCATIONAL COLLABORATIONS: I firmly believe in the power of collaboration to propel Tubman University to new heights. By strengthening educational partnerships at local, national, and global levels, we open doors of opportunity for our educational community. We are already in the process of formalizing partnerships with regional and national businesses, providing invaluable opportunities for students to apply their learning in real-world settings. Furthermore, we are exploring collaborations with embassies and international organizations to expand our global footprint and enrich the educational experience for our students.
ENVISAGING APPLICABLE ACADEMIC AGENDAS: To remain competitive in the ever-evolving job market, we must align our academic programs with industry needs and equip our students with relevant tools for success. By bridging the gap between education and market demands, we are preparing our students for the future. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and the provision of scholarships, internships, and support services, we are fostering a culture of praxis and innovation within our academic community.
ENHANCING STRENGTH AND STABILITY: Building a strong and resilient institution requires commitment, focus, and courage from every member of the Tubman University community. We are making significant strides towards enhancing our strength and stability, including diversifying our revenue streams through initiatives like enhancing our farm activities and launching campus enterprises. Additionally, the reconstitution of the Division of University Advancement will streamline fundraising efforts and strengthen ties with alumni and donors, ensuring sustained growth and development.
ENRICHING RESEARCH, INNOVATIVE AND DISCOVERY: Embracing a culture of research, innovation, and discovery is essential for our continued growth and vibrancy. We are fostering a collaborative environment where faculty and staff can explore innovative solutions to strengthen Tubman University. The creation of a new leadership position dedicated to research, innovation, and discovery will provide strategic direction and support for impactful research initiatives, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations and promoting a culture of innovation across academic disciplines.
ENCOURAGING A CONDUCIVE ACADEMIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE PARTNERSHIP: Cultivating positive and collaborative relationships among faculty, staff, and administration is crucial to foster a supportive and productive work atmosphere. We are dedicated to fostering transparent communication, teamwork, acknowledgment of achievements, professional growth opportunities, conflict resolution, and alignment with our common goals. By nurturing robust partnerships among these essential groups, we aim to establish a unified and efficient working environment vital for attaining organizational success and realizing our institution's mission.
In conclusion, my first 100 days as President/CEO of Tubman University have been marked by a steadfast commitment to excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
