Tubman University Graduate Begins Master's in Construction Engineering at University of Johannesburg

Elisha M. Karim, a 2023 Cum Laude graduate of William V.S. Tubman University (TU) has arrived in South Africa to pursue a Master's degree in Construction Engineering at the University of Johannesburg (UJ). Karim, who earned his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from TU, expressed his gratitude to the university's leadership for the opportunity to advance his study abroad.

Speaking from Johannesburg, Karim shared that his admission at UJ comes with a full scholarship. "I am deeply grateful to Dr. Olu Q. Menjay, President of TU, for his unwavering support and the opportunities he has provided. His leadership has opened doors for me to further my education, and I am committed to making the most of this experience," Karim said.

Dr. Menjay commended Karim's achievement, emphasizing the significance of global exposure of TU's graduates. "Elisha Karim's academic journey exemplifies the excellence we cultivate at TU. His acceptance and scholarship for a Master's in Construction Engineering reflect his hard work, talent and dedication. We are immensely proud of him and confident that he will represent TU well in South Africa," Dr. Menjay said.

Recently, Dr. Menjay led a delegation to the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in South Africa to explore collaboration opportunities, particularly in engineering. The discussions with the UJ leadership were centered on student mobility, and staff exchanges, aiming to strengthen academic ties between the two institutions.
