LTA Pledges Internet Upgrade for Tubman University to Advance Digital Learning

Harper, Maryland County - July 7, 2026: William V. S. Tubman University is set to receive improved internet connectivity following a commitment by the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) to strengthen the institution's digital infrastructure.

The announcement was made Tuesday July 7, by LTA Chairman Hon. Clarence K. Massaquoi during the Authority's Cyber Security Marathon, held under the theme, "Secure Your Digital Future."

Chairman Massaquoi said the initiative is part of the LTA's digital transformation agenda under President Joseph Nyuma Boakai and will enhance teaching, learning, research, innovation, and administrative services. He noted that the decision followed an appeal by former Chief Justice Cllr. Gloria Musu Scott.

Tubman University President Prof. Dr. Olu Q. Menjay welcomed the announcement, describing it as a timely investment that will strengthen academic delivery, expand digital learning, and help bridge the university's digital infrastructure gap.

The initiative reflects the Government of Liberia's continued commitment to expanding digital access in higher education and preparing students for the demands of the digital age.
