WVSTU: A delegation from Tubman University has successfully represented the institution at the National Students Symposium (NSS 2026), organized by the Liberia National Students' Union ( LINSU) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.

The symposium held from April 16-19 in Monrovia under the theme, "Connecting, Inspiring, and Equipping Students to Lead Liberia's Future," brought together over 300 students from across Liberia's 15 counties. The program included keynote sessions, panel discussions, and student-led presentations focused on governance, leadership, civic education, and entrepreneurship.
Speaking at the symposium, James Tactician Gbelee Washington, President of LINSU, said the gathering "opens a new chapter of collaboration, learning, innovation, and leadership among Liberian students."

Also addressing the ceremony, Jarso Marley Jallah, Minister of Education, emphasized that the symposium marks the beginning of a significant national engagement focused on leadership development, civic participation, entrepreneurship, innovation, and strategic dialogue among students across Liberia under the Ministry's guidance.
Representing Tubman University were Reed J. Harmon, Joseph G.A. Baker, Ophelia Martalay, Edwin G. Genoway, Barshee McIntosh, Leroy Gono, and Eastman K. Toe. Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Reed J. Harmon, President of the Tubman University Student Government Association, described the experience as transformative, noting that "the symposium has strengthened our commitment to leadership, unity, and service.

It has also broadened our understanding of national issues and reminded us that students must be active contributors to Liberia's development, not passive observers." He reaffirmed their commitment to return as ambassadors of knowledge, promoting excellence and leadership within the university and beyond.
