Harper, Maryland County - June 25, 2025 - William V. S. Tubman University student Brenda Wisner has officially arrived in the United States to participate in the Summer 2025 Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) Madeleine K. Albright Young Women Leaders Program on Economic Empowerment.
Brenda traveled to the U.S. on June 19 and is now taking part in the prestigious five-week leadership and academic residency hosted by the University of Delaware. She joins a global cohort of emerging young women leaders for a program focused on entrepreneurship, economic development, leadership training, and community engagement.
Congratulating Brenda on her accomplishment, Dr. Olu Q. Menjay, President of Tubman University, said: "We are proud of Brenda for earning a place in this highly selective program. Her participation reflects the excellence Tubman University stands for and reaffirms our mission to produce globally competitive students prepared to lead and make a difference."
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and coordinated through the U.S. Embassy in Monrovia, the SUSI Program is designed to build leadership capacity, promote mutual understanding, and create lasting connections between future global leaders and the United States.
